Serbia: Ganić: Serbia Has No Objection to Trial in BiH

2010-03-15, Belgrade, Serbia. Serbian President Tadic stated today that Serbia has no objection to extradition of Ejup Ganić from UK to BiH, as long as he will stand trial in Ganić.

BiH WCS: Ikonic: Genocide Indictment Confirm

2010-03-19, Sarajevo, BiH. WCS confirmed charges against Neđo Ikonić, a Commanding Officer of the 2nd Platoon of the Training Center Jahorina of the MUP RS Special Police Brigade, accused of ordering and commanding the detention and execution of Muslims in Srebrenica. The accused is charged with genocide.

UK: Galic Freed on Bail

2010-03-11, London, UK. The High Court released Ejup Ganic on bail on conditions including a curfew, obligation to report to the police, and stay at a specific address in London. The security payment in the amount of 300K pounds was provided by “an anonymous lady of substantial means.” and a surety of 25K pounds was put up by the vice-chancellor of the University of Buckingham. The accused to appear at a magistrate’s court on April 13. The Serbian authorities have sent to the British authorities some 800 pages of evidence in support of the Serbian extradition request.

UK: Ganic: Serbia requests Extradition

2010-03-10, Belgrade, Serbia. The Justice Ministry made an official request to the UK for extradition of Ejup Ganic to Serbia to be tried before the Belgrade High Court.

Spain: Batko Admits to Crimes in Grbavica

2010-03-04, Altea, Spain. According to El Pais, Batko admitted to war crimes committed in Grbavica. Serbian Ministry of Justice announced that it will be requesting extradition of Batko to serve the sentence rendered by the Novi Sad District Court for killings committed in Serbia. Montenegro will also request his extradition to finish serve his sentence for banditry committed in 1998 (he escaped from prison in 2001).  Bosnian Ministry of Justice already requested his extradition for crimes committed in Sarajevo during the Bosnian Wars. Batko is a citizen of Montenegro.
